Tanzania is a clear-cut and transparent market: the Gaming Board of Tanzania (GBT) oversees licensing, supervision and enforcement under the Gaming Act, Cap. 41. The framework permits both land-based and online operations across casino gaming, sports betting, virtual games, and lotteries.

Remote operations are governed by the Gaming (Internet Gaming) Regulations, with licensing and compliance processes handled digitally through GLICA (Gaming Licensing, Inspection & Compliance Application). Operators are subject to mandatory KYC/AML controls, technical certification, real-time data reporting, and regular regulatory inspections.
